The aim of the series remains that of including the works so all the principal classical authors. Although this has been largely accomplished, new volume are still being published to fill the remaining gaps, and old editions are being revised in the light of recent research or replaced.

About the Author

Xenophon (c. 427-355 BC), son of Gryllus, of the deme Erchia of Athens, was a soldier, mercenary and an admirer of Socrates and is known for his writings on the history of his own times, the sayings of Socrates, and the life of Greece.
